An American Bulldog/Lab mix by the name of Lennox has been locked up for more than a year now.... while his family and other supporters battle the local government over some rather vague language in the local breed specific legislation banning "pit bull types". The Chicago Tribune reports that Diane Eldrup is facing the possibility of not only prison - but deportation - after she was (finally) found guilty last week of allowing dozens of animals supposedly in her care to die instead at her Muddy Paws pet rescue.
Chicago tried this briefly a few years back; I hope California has more success. Bloomberg Businessweek reports...
